Sonia Bailey

Sonia first joined the American Section OIB community back in the 80s as a student in the American Section of the Lycée International de St Germain en Laye, France.
She was born to a French father and an American mother and holds both French and US citizenships.
She is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania (History Major) and ESCP Grande Ecole Program (in Management) in France. After a career in the corporate world, Sonia devoted her time to bilingual education to try to make a difference by helping future generations become open confident learners, critical thinkers, and responsible world citizens.
She joined the Ecole Jeannine Manuel Paris community in 2013 as a History-Geography BFI teacher. She led and coordinated the History-Geography Department (French and Anglophone teachers) for 5 years and set up bilingual HGGSP DNL 2 as well as APs.
Since 2016, she has been a High-School Deputy Head for the BFI as well as a College Counselor (since 2021), for Ecole Jeannine Manuel.
